a clean pantry
So my darling daughter was on a sort and tidy frenzy and attacked 3 of my kitchen drawers. Go girl! And then she asked- what’s next? I said she could start in the pantry, one shelf at a time, and before I knew it, she had the whole pantry tidy! What an angel!
With a little of the apricot jam I made, I decided to make some jam frangapani tartlets. I confess that I bought the shortcrust pastry shells ready made this time. Why? because last time I couldn’t be bothered blind baking all the fiddly little tartlet shells so I didn’t, and the pastry ended up a bit raw and for some hidous reason tasted like fish! ugh! My husband tasted one, said they were fine, just needed a little tartare sauce. humph, thanks. So that’s why I bought the tartlet shells ready made this time.
