a family holiday was had

So where have I been?  On holiday- on the great ocean road to be exact.  We were fortunate that everyone was able to take holidays  (Ells came a couple of days in as he couldn’t quite get the whole 10 days off) and a good time was had by all.

These are some of the highlights:

The scenery along the coastline- the marvels of God’s creation

The scenery through the rainforests

The walks down to the waterfalls

The late night walk through Melba Gully to see the glow worms

The late nights playing games with Ben and the kids- especially “Avocado Smash” and “Sushi Go Party” and “Telestrations”

The laughter around the dinner table

The lunch picnics and all the family time

The live theatre production at Loch Ard Gorge of Shakespears “the Tempest“- actually it was Really Good

The crochet time on the couch- and the surprise that Sebastian learnt to crochet on the sly!  Look below at his 2 octopi- he started with Amigarumi no less!  I started with a rectangular scarf!

The dining out occasionally

The catching up with an old friend- my best friend through high school in fact, who lives in Apollo Bay and works as a pastry chef there

(look at some of the sample goodies she gave us! – that flourless orange/ricotta cake was SOOOOOO good)

The sleeping in some mornings

and I would say

The Otway Fly (treetop walk) except due to a misunderstanding (about climbing rope ladders and wearing harnesses- which actually did not apply) I didn’t actually join them on that one- but it sounds like it was good and the pictures were good.

And there’s probs something I forgot, but if there is I’ll edit out this sentence later and add it in!

I will add some more photos of the scenery, but they’re all on Ben’s camera and he hasn’t sorted them yet.  So I’ll add some more pics as they come through…
