a gelati night out

so last night was new year’s eve, the kids were all out so Ben and I hopped out for a gelati.  Nice.  We went to Gelatissimo on Norwood parade, because surprise, surprise Prospect CIBO was closed as usual.  (Closed at 4:00pm!)  Whenever there’s a lovely balmy summer evening when we want to do something a bit special we think of a nice walk up to Prospect Rd, and wouldn’t it be nice to sit in the outdoor paved area in front of the town hall and enjoy gelati, but no, frustratingly thwarted by Prospect CIBOs early closure policy for some reason.  But I enjoyed espresso and pistachio flavours on Norwood parade, so that was all good, and Ben tried the lime & coconut with pistachio.

And also yesterday I went to David Jones (one of the lovely families I nanny for gave me a very generous gift voucher) and I was able to get two lovely tops, and with the change another new tie for Ben.  Aren’t the fabrics so pretty?

Today we took a lovely family out for a sail, such a nice day for it.  The girls (and their parents!) had a blast!  Thanks Ben x

Plus when we got back here, a big highlight for the 3 girls was playing “cupcake shop” with my set of crochet cupcakes– that game was good for a few hours actually.

Even more exciting than the laundry chute.
