a new fuschia
Ben bought me another fuschia on Saturday to replace the one that ahem, died. But when we asked if we could get another one the same at the fuschia nursery they said that they nearly lost that variety and had none yet ready for sale- so that made me feel better if their’s all nearly died too. It must have been a sensitive soul, that one. The new one is not quite as pretty a flower (all one shade of pink) but he said it’s a hardy variety and a true trailing one so looks great in the hanging basket. It’s called “pink galore” and is a double and has a large pink flower.
this is one we saw that unfortunately wasn’t for sale, but oh, so pretty.
Did I mention we went to the “seasonal garden cafe” at Hahndorf? What a delightful venue! You could get married there, it’s so pretty. And this is what I had for brunch- I had it with sauteed mushrooms instead of eggs, and it had fetta and almonds and broccoli and was very yummy.
