a new recipe

Ben was so impressed at my recipe organisation that he was inspired to find me a new recipe to try.  Butternut squash bake. With fresh lasagna sheets.  It looked and sounded yummy so I printed it out and we’re trying it for tea tonight.  Well, hopefully we are anyway.  I mean I quickly read that it took an hour and a half to cook and so I started in time for it to be ready at 6:30.  After I put it in the oven at 5:15 (I had a leetle bit of trouble with the lasagna sheets, ahem) I properly read that after baking for an hour and a half, you then remove the foil and bake for another half an hour, then stand for half an hour before removing from the tin to serve.  So maybe it will be for tea soonish.

But it looked good in the making…

see the torn fresh lasagna sheets in there?  Well, I’m afraid that when I got to stirring the mixture they clumped together in wads of fresh dough.  Maybe you’re not supposed to use actual fresh-from-the-pasta- maker fresh pasta?  Maybe shop bought pasta sheets don’t clump?

this is the mix (again before stirring, with the ricotta and crumbled fetta added.  I was getting hungry just creating it, and that was a few hours ago now…

Will let you know how it turns out…
