a scallopy scarf

Well I started on a new project the other day (I know, I need to finish off a couple, and I will soon!)  and it’s called “simple scallops” and when I first started making it I wondered how it could be called “simple” and how the pattern said the 3 row pattern repeat is easy to memorise, but you know, after working a few rows- it actually is!  

mind you, mine doesn’t look much like the one in the picture (actually it doesn’t even look a bit like it) but nevertheless I am continuing on because I think it will look nice anyway.  It will probably look different once I block it I suspect.

Well that’s what I’m telling myself anyway.

The yarn is something I picked up while browsing a cute patchworky shop in WA called “Cotton Rose” while on holiday with Ben, I had no project in mind but loved the two shades of green and snapped it up.  It’s by DMC called Natura just cotton, and the two shades are called “Gauguin”- who ever heard of that? and “Eucalyptus”
