allsorts rug progress number 2

and I have got this far and used up my first ball of black

I might just mention that the bobble dots section was the most challenging.  Chiefly because you are carrying the white yarn along behind the yellow so you don’t have to stop and start joining all the time, but you have to keep both yarns tensioned as you do, and secondly, because you want the bobbles all on the top side of the blanket (none on the underside that is),  you have to cut the yarns at the end of each row, turn it over and start back at the same end again.  Well that’s what I found anyway.  But I’m happy enough with the result so that’s the main thing.  I’m looking forward to seeing the rug with more colours on it.

Today my neice admired my daisy rug and asked if I’d make one for her 🙂   If only yarn was free!
