and Zoe is back!

hurrah and hurray!  My beautiful daughter (and all her friends) are back from their ski trip, and all in 1 piece.  Or should I say, all in 7 pieces, individually.  It’s so nice to have her home again.

Did I mention that I went to the “age of Elegance” exhibition that’s on at Ayers House at the moment?  It was really worth a look, but unfortunately for some, only open for another week.  The gowns are just exsquisite- in amazingly excellent condition after all these years and the matching headpieces truly amazing.  Plus the setting is just right of course.  You should go see! quick! before they take it down on the 29th July.

Also, my tulip is in bloom! At least it is in the daytime, it closes up beautifully again at night.  Don’t you just love God’s handiwork 🙂

and the lovely Iris’ I was given are also in full bloom!

Can you notice the Phalenopsis orchid is in bud again?- Really looking forward to that being in flower!

And on Saturday (after a run around to 2 different Spotlight stores after 1 elusive ball of sale stock yarn)  I finally finished the third jumper I was working on from the Acute Sweater pattern.  It’s a nice shade of blue, but very thick and warm- I might have made it too late to sell in my Etsy shop this season.

And I am working my way through the ribbed beanie that I mentioned- it is not a quick one to work up at all though!  But I am enjoying the challenge, and loving working with the Jo Sharp yarn.  Don’t know how much chance I’ll get to crochet this week- I’ve got my niece and nephew over for a couple of nights this week, so a different kind of fun is to be had over here!
