early rising

I am ready for daylight savings!  I’ve been waking up so early each morning what with the sunlight and the birds up.  But it’s all good- I’ve been getting a lot done in the extra morning hours.  Like yesterday before anyone was up I baked 2 batches of cookies for the cookie tins, did and hung a load of washing, unpacked and reloaded the dishwashers and had my shower.

I’ve also been getting ready for the puppet shows- I’ve added a tail to a cat, teeth and a mane to a lion, taped together some twigs to make a tree branch to hold a bird’s nest, painted a box, downloaded some music, worked out how to make a spider web, written up scripts…

and in crochet, I finished one niece’s shrug (I may have already said that?), and the other niece’s shrug is at try-on stage- I’m waiting til I see her to finish it.

Plus I’m working on daisy squares still on the side, and I’ve just started a new project- A nativity scene in amigarumi which I saw on Pinterest and thought was so cute.

I’m still working on my road play mat- I’ve got heaps of straight road squares, quite a few swishy grass squares, and I tried a curved road piece and need to unpick a bit before I go on.  I will get back to it after Family Bible Camp.

And the Sunday School rooms are close to being done!  We got rid of some old furniture, had a huge tidy up of general clutter, the new carpet is already down in 2 of the rooms already too.  Not long until it’s all complete.

A good feeling.
