Elsa beanies...
so I bumped into a friend the other day and we got talking, and I showed her my Etsy shop, and before you can say "pompom!" she had ordered a beanie for her little girl. (Did I mention that I sold my single bed daisy rug on Etsy recently? Chaching!) Her daughter's favourite colours are Emma yellow, or Elsa blue (of course) so I made 2 Elsa blue beanies so she can choose the size.
and now I have used up all 10 of the faux raccoon fur pompoms that I ordered from China for $1 each, so I've ordered more because they took a while to come.
The beanie pattern that I've based these on is called Cruise cabled beanie, though because I wanted 2 pompoms I finished it off differently to how the pattern does. Actually, it's easier my way, because you don't have to decrease to a point, just go down 2 hook sizes for the last few rows, and when you sew the seam up pull it a little tighter than normal to gather it in a bit. You want the 2 corners, for the 2 pompoms.
And here are all five beanies together, I'm looking forward to Zoe being able to model a pink one when she gets back- which is soon- hooray!
