I had a lovely birthday, thank you

Firstly, it was great because my daughter was back from O.S., what a nice present!  And secondly, she offered to make the dinner, which was DE-Licious- "Chickpea Shwarma" (yes, a thermy recipe)- here's the pic (we substituted radishes for the red cabbage btw)

and also we did a side of Panko cauliflowerettes- which are actually so delicious that we may just have had them two nights running, ahem.

And also Ben came home with some lovely flowers (from Jasmin's flowers)- here is the pic

and one of my friends gave me a basket of her home grown oranges, and I must say, they are just so tasty that you can't eat only one.  I limit myself to 4 a day, 2 each sitting, am I not a good girl?  Like Depeche Mode, I just can't get enough.

And one of my nephews, who knows what my favourite animals are, drew me this fabulous picture!  What a mini Michaelangelo :)

Last year I had an Etsy shop sale for my birthday, but I forgot this year, so never mind.  But since I just sold a rug, and 2 beanies I'm not even fussed.  I am still making up beanies, and now I hardly have to look at the pattern- only in the beginning to see how many stitches for each size and for round 1, but definitely getting more fluent.

And today at the playground 3 mums were chatting to each other and enthralling each other with blow by blow accounts of their gym workouts, which was SO boring to overhear, but it made me wonder- if they overheard me chatting to my friends about the finer details of my crochet projects- wouldn't they think how boring that was!  And that made me smile, and enjoy the playground visit even more.  (The twins and I were practising our balancing along the border around the bark chips- they are so cute and wobbly)...
