I love Springtime!

It's just such a beautiful time of year, what with the warmth and all the blossoms and buds and birds and butterflies...  I am very thankful.

and as usual, the thermy is getting a workout- tonight Seb is making pasta sauce in it to go with the fresh pasta (made in the pasta machine).  Last night I made spinach and feta pie in the thermy with a big bunch of spinach from a friend's garden.  And tomorrow I plan to make grilled eggplant dip to go with pita- yum allover.

I'm looking forward to the primary school musicals this Thursday night- my nephew has a lead role, and I'm sure the script will be as interesting as last years- it's always a good night out.

potted ranunculi

Look at this lovely ranunculi I was given today!  (No, it's not my birthday)  I think it's going to go in the front garden when we get a minute.

And even though Zoe and I had mulled over and hummed and haa-d for ages over the colour arrangement of the new chevron blanket I'm working on, when the pedal hit the metal - or the bamboo (hook) hit the cotton- I couldn't come at using the purple, or even the blues after the first few rows looking so delicious on their own.  So we've re-assessed and are using less colours with more repeats.  (The colours don't come out as pretty on the screen as they do in real life for some reason.)
