surprise surprise!

surprise surprise!

Did I tell you that we’re on holiday?  Ben and I are all the way in New Zealand for a few weeks!  It’s so lovely and picturesque and you don’t even mind the rain because of how green it makes everything.  Plus, we’re staying with friends ATM and they have a wood fireplace, and of course there’s plenty of time to crochet.  Which is good, because my carry-on bag is packed full of yarn 🙂

Ben is taking myriads of photos, which is great, and I am just taking snaps of things here and there.  Like on day 1 we went to Cushla’s patchwork and quilting place in Devonport which was recommended to us by friends, and accidentally spent more than was on the quilting budget on some cute kits which I will love to make when back home.  Here is me in my element

crochet gloves

I’ve been needing to wear my fingerless gloves while here- so that’s good!

and while I’ve been here I finished off the jumpers for my nieces, though I haven’t cut the yarn because I want them to try them on first for length etc

crochet jumpers

wow! they look vibrant in that photo!  They’re a hot coral colour, but not really as hot as in the pic.

Bye for now…
