the time has come
actually, not yet. All will be revealed soon though!
We are getting excited over here about the dress-up night coming up at our ecclesial camp, but that's all I'm saying. There will be photos, but not yet!
Plus I will mention that the sewing machine has been out and whirring away here and there on a couple of things to complete the final details.
So what Can I tell you then?
This is a pic of the floral bouquet that Zoe held in the wedding she was in last Saturday
Tonight we had Verity's vegetable soup, yummy- thanks Verits x (She gave us some turnips and swedes and beetroots) and they made a very yummy soup- Ben loves his soup, and I don't mind making it in the thermy so that's all good.
Last night we made pizza dough and had some homemade pizzas with favourite toppings- the most popular flavour was the pesto potato one, followed by Margharita.
We also tried another new recipe from Cookidoo- Hearty lentil chilli- it was so good that I've just made another batch to serve for ecclesial lunch tomorrow. (Followed by flourless chocolate cake- Torta Caprese- so quick and easy to whir up in the thermy)
And I finished another romper- this dusky pink one, but I'm trying to decide which colour flower to add...
Oh, and I have a model for the larger size romper- it's up on my Etsy shop now- she's a cutie! It looked really sweet on her too. She liked the attention with all the photographs :)
And the exciting news? My yarn arrived from Lovecrochet! I ordered some pretty pastel cottons to start a cot size blanket in the pattern that my friend was working on, you know, the ripple one with the bobbly bits. But unfortunately I haven't had a chance to start it yet :(
I did start a sample swatch of the blanket pattern with some leftover yarn to get the hang of the design, and that is working out fine, although I didn't get very far, but I'm looking forward to getting back to it. But priority one is to first make up a little dress that a friend has ordered for her granddaughter's birthday- she saw the rompers hanging up at my house and asked for a dress instead of a romper -so the top of the pattern will be the same (but a larger size), and the bottom will be even simpler. Such fun that I have!
