train tables

I’ve been busy busy

well I guess nothing’s new, but in our spare time we are helping Zoe (the aspiring interior decorator) to repaint all the Sunday school rooms at the hall.  Lots of work.  Every time I paint (walls I mean) when finished I say “that’s definitely the last time I’m painting, someone else can do it next time” ahem

It will look good when it’s eventually done.

And at playgroup last week we finally got the train table back in action again- hooray!  All the little boys especially loved it.

It’s pretty cool how it’s got a turn table and little sheds for them to sleep in and lots of bridgey raised bits, and parts of the track make noises when a train rides over it…

I guess part of the reason why I was inspired to get it back in action again was because we have been playing trainsets on Tuesday’s where I nanny.  (The other reason was because the little boy of the mum who was on set up with me last week piece by piece brought all the trains, bridges, crane and parts of track etc out of the storeroom and was playing with them on the floor 🙂

This is the train track we made today (yes, we followed the diagram!) where I was nannying

his dad made and painted the train table himself!  This train track is Brio and is also cool, with little dials you turn to make the crane work or the lift go up and down, plus the trains make little noises too.

And plodding along with my various crochet projects on the side…
